Best to position the house in a place that receives direct sunlight for most of the day in order for the lights to charge. It may also be used inside (cover solar panel with opaque tape to trick the system – turn lights on and off via button and once batteries are low, recharge via the sun or re-charger. You can use rechargeable or regular AA batteries).
